Foss Family Trucks Officially Launches Meatyballs Mobile

What a month chef Phillip Foss has had. After being dismissed from his post as executive chef at Lockwood in the Palmer House Hilton, Foss came back guns a-blazing and isn’t slowing down one bit. Over the Labor Day weekend, Foss and his wife, Kenni, hit the streets in the first Foss Family food truck: the Meatyballs Mobile.
If you follow Foss’ Twitter feed you’ll know the truck hit a number of neighborhoods (our fave was when he told the “girlz” in “boyztown” to come out and taste his meatyballs) and now they’re gearing up to hit Chicago in a more regular way.
This weekend saw Foss selling a few different sandwiches, like smoked pork shoulder in a bourbon-cola BBQ sauce; chicken curry with saffron and mango chutney; and the aforementioned (and clearly signature) meatballs with tomato sauce and mozzarella. Keep tabs on the truck’s whereabouts through its Twitter feed and expect regular menu changes and new ingredients. If Foss’ new PR firm, Foss Unlimited (get it: F.U.) doesn’t show this guy’s balls, his food will definitely back it up.
