Sepia Closing For Ron Howard Film

Foodie heard over the weekend that Ron Howard was scouting Sepia to shoot a scene for his upcoming still-untitled movie starring Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, Winona Ryder and Jennifer Connelly and today we stopped by to see for ourselves whether it was true. There were a bunch of film trucks outside, crew setting up scaffolding in front of the entrance and when we popped inside to see the action, there was a flurry of activity throughout the space.

We inquired with one of the crew if he knew what the scene would be or which actors would be on site, but he didn’t know. Either way, we think it’s pretty damn cool they chose to film at Sepia, which has a gorgeous interior. Wouldn’t it be cool if chef Andrew Zimmerman actually was the chef in the movie? Dish reports that the restaurant in the movie will be called, what else? Sepia…

A Sepia staffer confirmed they’d be closed starting today through July 8 and re-open for cocktails and dinner at 4:30 p.m. on July 9. We wouldn’t be surprised if the dapper Emmanuel Nony, Sepia’s owner, were an extra in the scene…
