If you fancy yourself a true locavore foodie, we have a challenge for you. Starting today and running through Sept. 22, Green City Market wants you to pay attention to what you eat and where it comes from. The challenge is to only eat food sourced, grown or produced locally for the next two weeks.
Unsure on what local means? It doesn’t mean getting your produce flown across the country from California. Rather, the food comes from Illinois and its border states (Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri and Kentucky) plus Michigan.
